Jeffrey Lewis is a Senior Managing Director at Guggenheim Partners in New York and the Chairman of the Board of Generation Mortgage Company. Prior to joining Guggenheim, Jeff founded and managed the Fixed Income Derivatives Group for Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, (DLJ) where he also managed the Mortgage Arbitrage Group and co-headed Residential Mortgage trading.

Prior to DLJ, Jeff worked at Bankers Trust & Drexel Burnham as a Mortgage Securities trader.

Jeff received his BA in Government and MBA in Finance from Cornell University.

Jeff and his wife reside in New York City with their two children.

Joseph A. Morris
President & Chief Executive Officer

Joe Morris is president and CEO of Generation Mortgage, a reverse mortgage lender that serves consumers and professional partners throughout the United States. Joe currently oversees all areas of the company.

He has been in an ownership position in the mortgage industry for more than 34 years. As a leader and pioneer of the reverse mortgage industry, Joe is committed to building a company with a culture that cares about its clients, while providing superior products and unparalleled customer service.

Joe was COO of Financial Freedom for two years, after Unity Mortgage was sold to Lehman Brothers and merged with Financial Freedom in 2000.

In 1991, he and his Unity Mortgage team launched into the reverse mortgage world. By 2000, a 28% US market share had been obtained by conducting business in 42 states. Their servicing portfolio was the 2nd largest at the time. He was responsible for all phases of the Reverse Mortgage Division.

Joe is a graduate of Georgia Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management. At his first job with C&S Bank, he was placed in their Residential Mortgage Department.

Debbie Turner
Chief Operating Officer

Debbie Turner has over 25 years of experience in the mortgage industry. Her expertise over the last seven years has been in the regulatory compliance area of the mortgage industry.

Over the years, Debbie has held senior management positions with Chase Manhattan Mortgage, American Residential Mortgage, Premier Lending Corporation and Generation Mortgage Company. In addition, she was the founder and owner of Mortgage Compliance Consulting located in Atlanta, Georgia.

Debbie's management experience includes: federal, state and investor guidelines including performing periodic and random internal audits to insure compliance and training needs, management of Loan Administration Departments, Divisional and National Operations, Closing/Funding, Underwriting and Loan Delivery. She also managed the operations and compliance of a 53-branch office network. Debbie held the position of Vice President National Operations Manager and was awarded the “National Presidential Award of Achievement” for her efforts. Along with this, she has extensive experience creating and establishing policies and procedures for the mortgage compliance industry.

Todd Walters

Todd Walters, President of Amston Mortgage Company, has been writing reverse mortgages in Connecticut for 12 years, and has been involved in mortgage banking for more than 20 years. Specializing exclusively in reverse mortgage loans, Amston has closed more than 3,000 loans to assist their senior clients in becoming more financially independent.

Through Todd's leadership, the Amston Mortgage team has been instrumental in educating the public about reverse mortgages via print and broadcast media. He is the former host of "Home Financing," a live call-in radio program. Todd was chosen by WABC in New York to explain reverse mortgages for their news examination of these mortgages. He has been a guest on National Public Radio and on the "Janet Peckinpaugh Show" as well as other TV and radio programs.

Richard Young

Richard Young is currently the Executive Vice President of California Reverse Mortgage Co., a DBA of Generation Mortgage since 2006, and oversees the company sales and operations. The company's founders closed the first Fannie Mae reverse mortgage in California and have been instrumental in securing a very high volume of reverse mortgage loans throughout California. Their team believes in treating every customer with integrity, respect and personal attention.

Rich previously worked at California Reverse for nearly 3 years as a Reverse Mortgage Originator.

Prior to that, he was employed by Macy's for 34 years in a variety of sales and management positions.

Sherry B. Apanay
Senior Vice President

As Senior Vice President, Sherry is responsible for the sales and support of Generation's Wholesale Division. She works closely with the Operations Division to ensure the highest level of customer support. In addition, Sherry oversees all training – internally and externally for brokers, correspondents and Reverse Mortgage Professionals. In her Wholesale leadership role, it is her goal to provide the best business model for potential correspondents who share Generation's vision to provide the highest level of customer service while practicing the highest ethical standards.

With experience in retail as well as wholesale arenas, Sherry has been working within the reverse mortgage industry for the past 15 years and managed a business division for the past 11 years.

She began her reverse mortgage career with Unity Mortgage Corp, based in Atlanta where she helped support all aspects of reverse mortgage operations, earning an AVP position. In 1996, she established their Wholesale Division and has since been instrumental in developing the nation's reverse mortgage broker and correspondent business. In addition, she worked closely with FNMA and FHA during its infancy, promoting the HECM program.

Most recently, she served as a First Vice President of Wholesale Sales & Operations for a leading nationwide Reverse Mortgage lender. She has been a member of NRMLA (National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association) since its inception and has been an avid membership supporter. Sherry currently serves as Co-Chair for NRMLA's Education Committee.

Charles L. Goldsmith
Chief Financial Officer

At Generation Mortgage, Charles is responsible for Human Resources, Accounting, Forecasting, Banking Relationships, Insurance, Purchasing, and Corporate Administration. He works closely with the IT group in evaluating technology growth needs.

Charles has more than 35 years of accounting, financial, and administrative management experience in a variety of industries, with the most recent 15 years in the mortgage industry.

From 1992 – 2001, he served as Treasurer/Controller of Unity Mortgage Corp., before its sale to Lehman Brothers and merger with Financial Freedom. From 2001 – 2006, he was CFO/Controller for BayRock Mortgage Corporation, a rapidly growing wholesale subprime lender.

Charles has a BBA from the University of Georgia and an MBA from Georgia State University and served in the Army during the Vietnam War.

Mark Johnson
Chief Technology Officer

Mark began working in the reverse mortgage industry in 1997 when he joined Unity Mortgage as a Developer. He was responsible for both the forward and reverse development platforms. On the reverse side, he finished the servicing platform. In 1999-2000, he created a separate origination platform - for the reverse side - written in Visual Basic and SQL Server.

In 2001, he joined forces with one of the nation's leading reverse mortgage lenders. As their Sr. Software Developer, he assisted in the design and maintenance of the Origination Platform. In 2003, he moved to that firm's corporate headquarters and was promoted to Vice President of Software Development for Origination systems.

Michael Atwell
First Vice President – Retail Sales

As First Vice President of Retail Sales, Mike Atwell is responsible for the overall production and management of the Generation Retail Channel that includes the national sales force.

Previously, he was a Regional VP of Sales for a nationwide leading reverse mortgage lender where he was responsible for the production of 40 sales reps in an 8-state region. He initially started with that lender in June 2002 as a Retail Sales Manager, located in Denver.

Originally, from Washington, D.C., Mike has been involved in the mortgage industry for the past 23 years. Mike's career began working in the conventional retail mortgage industry, as a home loan originator for Coast Federal Bank in Los Angeles. He later garnered experience on the retail side of the business for 7 years as a loan officer.

After that, he ventured into the wholesale and correspondent aspects of the mortgage business with companies including Directors Mortgage as a Production Manager and later, with California United Bank where he eventually managed the Southern California Region.

In 1995, Mike joined NationsCredit as a wholesale representative; in 1998, he worked for Ames Financial where he was promoted to the Sales Manager positions for both Ames and Long Beach Mortgage in Colorado.

Chris Antaya
Vice President – Loan Servicing

Chris Antaya has more than 25 years of mortgage industry experience and has extensive knowledge of a wide range of real estate services with expertise in loan servicing and securitization.

Chris has held management positions with First Fidelity Mortgage and iStar Financial and senior management positions with J.P. Morgan, Peachtree Franchise Financial, Germania of America and Generation Mortgage Company. She has worked with portfolios ranging from $300 million to $100 billion plus in loan balances.

She has been instrumental is achieving Primary Servicing Ratings, Master Servicing Ratings and Franchise Servicing Ratings. In addition, Chris has held the position of Project Director, overseeing two loan servicing system conversions. Throughout her career, she has hired, trained and managed personnel for loan servicing, closing, administrative and asset management departments.

Additionally, Chris has created policies and procedures for Primary Loan Servicing, Master Loan Servicing, Franchise Loan Servicing and Human Resource departments.

She has also served on the development board for SS&C Technologies in developing a state of the art loan servicing software for commercial and franchise loans.

Blake Hurst
Vice President – Closing/Post Closing

As Vice President, Closing/Post Closing, Blake Hurst is responsible for overseeing mortgage closing, funding, warehousing, shipping, government insuring, final docs and record retention on a nationwide basis. At Generation, he is focused on how to make a positive impact on the senior community, whether it is through providing the best customer service to creating products that will make a positive impact on the reverse mortgage industry and for the senior borrowers.

His previous experience was as the Vice President of Closing/Post Closing for the Eastern Operations Center of one of the nation's leading reverse mortgage companies.

Blake has been in the mortgage industry for 10 years, the last three years working with reverse mortgages. The majority of his background is in the loan servicing area, working with both residential and commercial mortgages. He has previously served in a number of management capacities including escrow administration, investor reporting and production operations.

While working for SunTrust Mortgage, as well as Hatfield Phillips, his entrepreneurial abilities helped to create and build departments from the ground up, developing policies and procedures, in addition to hiring and training staff.

Liz Stephen
Vice President – Product Development

As Vice President of Product Development, Liz is responsible for the creation, development and logistics of reverse mortgage products. In addition, she acts as liaison for Generation's Wholesale and Retail Divisions on product training and marketing.

Liz entered the reverse mortgage industry in 1991 with Unity Mortgage Corporation based in Atlanta. She was responsible for creating a national retail and wholesale distribution platform for Unity Mortgage, a pioneer in reverse mortgages. Her responsibilities included hiring and overseeing all reverse mortgage production and related day-to-day operations. She was instrumental in creating policies within HUD, FNMA, AARP and NRMLA on industry issues that have had a continued affect on the industry.

As a result of her industry leadership abilities and the Unity team achievements, the Reverse Mortgage Division of Unity Mortgage was acquired in 2000 by a leading Reverse Mortgage Lender, where she worked until 2002.

Mary Ann Rutledge
Vice President - Underwriting

Mary Ann Rutledge has more than 20 years of experience in the mortgage industry while working throughout the nation in California, Oklahoma and Washington. Most of that experience occurred with nationwide forward mortgage companies either as an originator, processor, underwriter, manager or trainer.

She became involved in the reverse mortgage industry in 1993 while in California. At that time, she remembers the enjoyment and satisfaction received by helping seniors obtain financial security and maintain their independent lifestyle in a home they had lived in for many years. For nearly four years, she has been totally immersed in the reverse mortgage industry in Atlanta, GA.
